Royal couple: adopts baby penguin

The Duke and Duchess have a new baby to call their own.

A baby penguin born at Chester Zoo has been adopted by Prince William and his bride, Kate Middleton.

A South American Humboldt penguin, Acorn was given to the couple as a wedding gift.

A spokesperson says that the zoo allows citizens to adopt animals for twelve month. "We hope William and Kate might like to take advantage of the free tickets in the adoption pack and spend a day here, and participate in feeding the baby penguin".

Chester Zoo uses money raised through animal adoptions for conservation projects.
