The highly-anticipated sequel "The Hangover Part II" had the third-best Thursday gross of all time!
The Hangover Part II earned $31.7 million on its opening day at the domestic box office. The Hangover Part II is now on track to gross $110 to $125 million by Monday. And this would be the highest ever for an R-rated comedy and the best debut of the year.
Fifty four percent of Thursday’s moviegoers were under the age of 25, according to the hollywood reporter.
There is another sequel that had a very good opening day. "Kung Fu Panda 2" grossed $5.8 million on Thursday.
So, two great sequels to see, one for the kids and one for the adults.
