Recently Mariah Carey dropped a hint that her newborn twins' names would each begin with the letter "M." The mystery has been cleared up.
The boy and girl, who were born on April 30, 2011 in Los Angeles, have been named Moroccan Scott and Monroe respectively.
Scott is 30-year-old Nick's middle name, as well as his grandmother's maiden name. They decided not give their daughter a middle name because the singer herself doesn't have one.
As for the inspiration behind the names, the top tier of Mariah's New York City apartment is called the Moroccan Room. And it is the room where Nick proposed to his wife.
And Monroe was named after Marilyn Monroe, who has been an inspiration to Carey.
