MTV’s Teen Mom star Amber Portwood has been admitted to a hospital in Indiana for an alleged suicide attempt.
MTV has since released a statement about Amber's hospitalization, “Our understanding is that Amber has been admitted to a local hospital. But we have not been able to confirm the accuracy of any reports being circulated and are waiting for further details. Our thoughts are with her and we hope to hear more soon.”
A source told that, Amber is now stabilized and awake. She’d been taking morphine to deal with the pressures of filming and her custody battle for her daughter, Leah.
Leah has been with dad Gary Shirley.
The 21-year-old reality star has had a rough few months. She was charged with two felony counts of domestic battery, one felony count of neglect of a dependent and one misdemeanor count of domestic battery, back in December 2010.
Amber was given two years probation after pleading guilty to two felony domestic battery charges, before her hospitalization.
