As the fourth and final judge on "The X Factor USA", Paula Abdul will join Simon Cowell.
Abdul is close to signing up for the new series. But last moment negotiations are holding back the official announcement.
Paula Abdul launched her own talent series earlier this year called "Live to Dance." But it was not renewed for a second season.
It was confirmed that, successful British singer Cheryl Cole will join Grammy award winning producer Antonio 'L.A.' and Simon Cowell on the show's judging panel.
This fall, "The X Factor USA" will make its official launch.
